I was nominated for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award by Good Woman.  Thank you for nominating me, Good Woman!  Check out her blog at the link above, as she explores what’s next for her in her own crossroads (don’t we all have one?).

The rules of this award are as follows:  Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their site, put the award logo on your blog, answer the ten questions sent to you, make a list of ten questions for your nominees, and nominate seven blogs.

10 Questions posed to me:

1) If you had no restrictions, what one thing would you choose to focus your time and attention?  Why?  Writing, for sure.  It’s the area I feel God is calling me to explore and grow the most right now, and it’s the one thing I’ve always done since I was a little girl.  As soon as I could read and write, I wrote and illustrated my own little stories and books.  It’s the most natural thing for me, but also the scariest, the most vulnerable, and potentially my strongest skill.

2) What is the hardest thing you have ever had to do?  Learn about myself, learn to love myself, face my fears, face what I thought were failures, learn that most of those things were not actually failures, and real talk:  forgive myself.

3) What is one thing you have done to make a difference for someone?  Become a missionary.

4) What one talent or personal trait are you most proud of?  Besides the ability to do the worm with my eyebrows, I’d have to go with my ability to see the positive in most any situation.  (I can also make the world’s best French toast.)

5) Why do you blog?  A friend encouraged me to start.  I keep going because I enjoy the challenge and I hope that someone can be inspired to believe in their own greatness through my words and stories.

6) What one thing do you know that you wish the whole world would understand or accept?  How precious, cherished, important, loved, and treasured they are.

7) What one thing have you never done but would love to do some day?  Go to Europe.

8) Who do you like the most and why?  WHO do I like the most?  Seriously?  I genuinely love pretty much everyone I meet…but I’ll go with two of my sweet seminarian friends.  They are funny, kind, smart, generous, holy dudes, seeking the heart of Christ and doing everything it takes to follow Him.  Love them!

9) What one possession would you most hate to lose?  (This is a material thing, not a person or a relationship, because we cannot truly possess them.)  I suppose my computer, because I rely on it for so many things–work, blogging, music, etc.

10) What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?  The very real possibility that I might not live my life to the fullest.  I don’t want to just exist, I want to live and make things happen and change the world.

Seven blogs I nominate:
